Hello all!

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Denzel Norris born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. The art of poetry has always intrigued me & I started my poetic journey by reading countless poems from Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou, and numerous others. Communication was my biggest dilemma growing up. I've lost relationships & friendships due to me not being able to express how I feel. I felt as if my feelings didn't matter to people. This caused me to spiral down a very lonely road in my teen years. This led me to start writing poems. The more I wrote, the more peaceful I became. So, I began sharing them with family and friends and to my surprise, they closely resonated with them. Poetry has become more than just a craft in my life, it's therapeutic for me. I find life in being able to inspire others. Poetry is a lifestyle for me & I want to make a positive impact on the world with my poems.
